Let go and let God

It’s natural for us to hold on to things, whether that be a relationship, friendship, business, or job. And sometimes we don’t want to let go of what we are used to.

However, what we don’t realise is that we are holding onto something that no longer serves us and has reached its expiry date in our lives. You may be holding on because of familiarity and comfortability or you may be afraid of what life will be like if you let go.

We all worry about what’s to come. We worry if we let go that we will be making a mistake or even question whether we are deserving of something better. This may be why we continue to stay. But when you continue to hold on you are closing the door to opportunities or something healthier for you.

This is where faith comes in, we don’t always know what’s to come but we can remain positive and hopeful. We can believe that we are doing the right thing for ourselves and we can allow God to work with us and do what needs to be done. Open your heart to the possibility of something new, better, more loving, something good for your soul and spirit.

Start the process of letting go of what was, accepting what is and having faith in what will be. If it is a relationship you are letting go of, move on peacefully. Whatever emotion(s) you feel about letting go (anger, bitterness, sadness, etc.) let it out. You don’t have to suppress your feelings. Feel all range of emotions as this is a healthy thing to do. Then start the process of acceptance.

Let go and let God.
