A better year ahead

This unforgettable year comes to an end tomorrow and I’m ready for it. I feel like it’s important to go into the new year with organised energy and a healthy mindset. In 2021 I want to continue my journey of inner alignment, self-knowing and full self-acceptance. Over the years and particularly this year I’ve been laying the foundations and peeling back all of my layers for full self-understanding. Next year I will continue to walk in my purpose, cultivate deep connections, deepen my spiritual awareness and practice healthy habits. I will also act in ways that align with who I am and my core values.

I wrote down a few tips to help you attract and radiate positive energy, focus on your goals, cultivate healthier relationships, and become more self-aligned.

Here are a list of things you can do to manifest a positive new year

  1. Categorise and break down your goals:

My advice when it comes to goal setting is both categorising your goals and breaking them down. Some categories include: personal development, business, financial, relationship, and health. This makes it easier to acknowledge which areas you would like to improve on in 2021. Break them down and make your goals realistic to your circumstance. I’m not saying don’t think big or challenge yourself but if for example, you have a financial goal of saving a certain amount based on your current financial circumstances. Writing down a goal of saving £10,000 by the end of the year may not be realistic if you are earning minimum wage with no other source of income. Instead, work out the most you can save every week or month then you’ll have a realistic savings target for the year. (To put it into perspective, if you can only save £50 a month, you will save £600 a year).

Furthermore, you can break your goals down further to weekly or daily goals. You can write down the mini-goals you need to complete daily to reach your ‘final’ goal. Doing this also makes your big goals seem less overwhelming and out of reach.

2. Write down daily affirmations and include them into your morning routine:

When it comes to affirmations I’ve found it helpful to make them according to what I would personally like to improve on. For example, currently, I want to work on self-acceptance and releasing inner shame so some of my current affirmations are based on this. I would suggest creating a few affirmations that you can read every morning, for a good start to your day and positive reinforcement. This allows you to act on high vibrational frequency throughout your day because you have started your day reaffirming yourself on areas that you probably struggle with regularly.

3. Read more:

Anyone who knows me knows that I’m a book worm and I typically read one or two books a month. So in 2021, I’d suggest reading, so many people have told me that they haven’t read a book in years and I find that shocking. Learning never stops, buy books on topics of your interest. Why not try reading at least one book a month? Figure out what you want to understand or learn more about and make a list of a few books you can buy throughout the year. There are thousands of books out there, buy some and read a chapter a day.

4. Start something new:

This doesn’t have to be a “new year new me” kind of thing but if there was anything you may have procrastinated on, or felt as though you were delayed given the circumstances of 2020. The new year may be a good time to start something new. Whilst we don’t know exactly what next year will hold, try to put 2020 behind you and start fresh with something.

5. Be authentic:

Authenticity is so important to me. If you feel like you didn’t get the opportunity to show who you truly are this year then start fresh, figure out ways in which you want to show who you are. If you need to, change the way you present yourself, online and in the world. One thing I realised is how you present yourself is so important, you decide on what you want to show. However, if you want to cultivate new relationships and build genuine connections with people who align with you it’s important to be as authentic as possible and show who you are without fear of how this will be received by others. Just do you.

Thank you for reading!

See you in 2021 x
